Billy Ray’s Family Restaurant

Billy Ray’s Family Restaurant is a unique destination that attracts sports fans and southern cooking fans alike. Located in a busy but more local section of Carolina Beach Road, this relatively new eatery serves up big plates, cold drinks, and plenty of fun.

The menu is fairly simple, but is perfect for hungry patrons. Southern cuisine lovers can load up on huge plates of barbecue, ribs, pork chops, chicken, and even meatloaf, as well as special prime ribs and steaks. There’s also a good collection of burgers and sandwiches, including a nice long Philly cheese steak, as well a regular specials like a ½ smoked chicken – perfect for ravenous appetites – and grilled or fried chicken salad. To complement these big platters, Bill Ray offers up a huge array of side dishes, which change regularly, and which can include macaroni and cheese, baked beans, collards, fried okra, homemade chips, rice and gravy, and even banana pudding. Patrons can settle into the casual dining room to enjoy a family meal, or saddle up to the slightly separated bar which hosts football games on a line of TVs every Sunday. Fun for an afternoon of football, or just a big southern meal, Billy Ray’s Family Restaurant is a classic restaurant that will appeal to big appetites.
