Cam Café

Visitors who are touring the Cameron Art Museum don’t have to leave the premises to enjoy a creative and ultimately delicious lunch, thanks to the museum’s on-site Cam Café. Located in a bright and sunny corner of the museum, and spearheaded by Executive chef Jessica Cabo, this little café is a veritable work of art.

Jessica Cabo originally went to college at UNCW before spending 12 years in LA and New York, and being a finalist on the popular cooking show Hell’s Kitchen. She is now back in Wilmington, and bringing her love of flavor and food to the Cam Café and its wonderfully creative menu. Open only for lunch, patrons will find a delightful selection of soups and salads, sandwiches, and “Mains,” which utilize locally sourced ingredients and boasts both classic and more inspired items. New visitors who are feeling creative will want to try the Bánh Mì of the Day, with pickled veggies, herbs, and jalapeño mayo on a baguette, the Vegetarian street tacos, or the “Everything but the Kitchen Sink,” which features a host of fruits and veggies served with soba noodles. Borrowing flavors from all over the globe to create appropriately colorful dishes, Cam Café will be any artist’s favorite destination for an engaging and unique lunch.
