Let the youngest anglers in the crew enjoy a special fishing tournament that’s designed just for them with this annual event that ties in with the annual Jolly Mon King Classic. The Jr. Jolly Mon - Rock the Dock event is for anglers who might be too young to compete in the big multiple day tournament, but who still want to drop a line and discover just how much fun fishing can be.
Registration for the day’s tournament begins at at the Ocean Isle Fishing Center, and the fishing begins in earnest at 7 a.m. off the fishing center’s docks. Each young angler will be provided with a rod and reel for the competition – (anglers will need to provide their own bait.) The anglers will then fish in smaller groups of six, and prizes will be given based on a number of criteria at the end of the day. The Jr. Jolly Mon - Rock the Dock is only open to kids who are 12-year-old or younger, so it’s a great opportunity for kids to foster a love of fishing at an early age, and discover how much fun Ocean Isle Beach can be.
