There’s plenty of ways to have fun along the coast at the annual NC 4th of July Festival Beach Day – a celebration that takes place in the heart of Oak Island. Held in conjunction with Southport’s 4th of July Festival, which is one of the largest Independence Day celebrations in the state, this event features tons of games, activities, contests, and even live music and dancing, to create a festive 4th of Juy that visitors won’t soon forget.
There’s a lot going on during the full day and evening NC 4th of July Festival Beach Day at the Middleton Park in Oak Island. Visitors can pop in to discover dozens of fun and easy going family-oriented contests, inflatables and rides for the kids, an array of games, and competitions which includes corn hole, bocce call, sand castle building, and volleyball contests. After an action packed day along the shore, the fun continues with a shag dancing contest a 7 p.m. and live music by Midnight Allie from 6 - 9 p.m. With tons of way to celebrate, the NC 4th of July Festival Beach Day demonstrates just how fun life on the beach can be during the height of summer.
