Our top Brunswick area vacation rental home tips:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Brunswick area area. To book the best vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Finding the perfect vacation home in the Brunswick area area:
- Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Shell Cove - Private Beach Access Nearby! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
