Strategies to get the optimal Brunswick area vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • To find the best rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. \"Big AL's Dawg House\" 4 Bedroom, Oceanfront, Duplex, PET FRIENDLY has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
