Getting the best vacation property experience:

Find your best deal:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in the Brunswick area area. Booking your Brunswick area vacation home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose and book the perfectrental home:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Brand New! Pool-Canal-Boat Dock-Walk to the Beach! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your trip.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
