Tips and Tricks for getting the best Brunswick area vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, try changing your family's Brunswick area trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking yourvacation home:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Family-Friendly Beach House w\/ Ocean Views, Close Beach Access has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
