Tips and Tricks for getting the best rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Holden Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Fishing\/ Beach Getaway has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
