Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Brunswick area rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • To get the best value, change your family's Brunswick area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. The Blue Anchor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
