Tips and Tricks to get the very best Brunswick area rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer is high season in Wilmington. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Brunswick area vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • First, have your family choose vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Yellow Swann-7 min walk to Live Oak Pavillion, Downtown has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is best for your family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Call the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
