When to visit & When to reserve a Brunswick area rental home:

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
• The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
• Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
• Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation.
• If there's a certain Brunswick area beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
• Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
• Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.

• Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
• Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
• Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
• Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Record a video to document the condition of the property.
• Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise.
