When you get to the property, you will first step onto the outdoor deck and go through the slider to enter the interior of the unit. Inside you will find yourself in the living area. It has a fair amount of space to lounge around or just stare out the slider at the handsome view. The couch is a sleeper couch. The living room leads into the dining/ kitchen area. There is a modest bar area with two bar stools and a dining table with seating for four guests. The kitchen has everything needed for a meal together and also has some pops of blue in the modest appliances. There is a full bathroom with a shower/ tub combo. The main bedroom has a Queen bed and modest desk area for any last min. emails you need to send before officially starting your vacation. This room also has deck access that overlooks the community pool!

Carolina Beach has so many activities to keep the whole family entertained that you will want to keep coming back year after year. This is one of the few places in NC that accepts driving on the beach in summertime - you are allowed to drive on the North end beach at Freeman Park, if you have the city pass and a 4WD car. You'll also be close to the pier for great fishing, a cool drink, and perhaps some storytelling about the one that got away.

Tricks and tips to get the best Brunswick area vacation property experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Summertime is high season in the Brunswick area area. Book your Brunswick area vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Choosing and booking the best Brunswick area rental home:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful 1 BR Condo Overlooking Freeman Park has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
