Strategies to get the very best vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the perfect vacation home in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Ocean view with your morning coffee! Just 100 yards to the beach. has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
