Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE:
The ice maker in the freezer does not work. The freezer will be outfitted with a bag of ice upon arrival.

The carpet is original to the home (2013) and does have some stains. We clean it at the end of each summer.

The two fiberglass tub/showers have staining near the drains. The floor of the showers dip in those spots, resulting in standing water, which stains the fiberglass. They are not dirty.

The lighting over the master tub looks normal, but in many cases in can make the tub water appear with a green tint. I promise the water is not green!

Getting the best Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose your prefect Brunswick area rental home:

  • Choose vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Bright Home on a Private Street has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
