Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at The Clubs at St. James and Southport Marina. North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting.
