Finding the best rental experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Ocean Isle Beach. Reserve your Brunswick area vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Cozy Side Unit at Oceanfront Complex, Community Pool & Steps from the Ocean has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area destination you long to visit, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
