Brunswick area vacation rental booking tips:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Book your Brunswick area rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Brunswick area area:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Cutest Cottage Steps from the Beach - All Linens and Towels Provided! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
