The bungalow offers a unique experience with its sophisticated design & low-country flair that captures the appreciation for the local area. This home is a part of the handsome, historic, and walkable 250-acre getaway known as Greenfield Lake.

Seriously, you can even savor the sound of the live concerts from the bungalow's porch!

If you swoon over the intricate craftsmanship found in an early 1900's historic home and other original details, this bungalow is a true feast for the eyes. If you pay close attention, you will notice the dedication to preserving the nostalgia and old world appeal found only in original features in these types of homes. Some key features to mention include, original 5-panel doors and glass french doors, original wood floors, a phone booth, plaster walls, bead board ceilings, original brick accents, and original windows with the iconic wavy glass.

Upon arriving guests are greeted by the beautiful craftsman style home that is part of the rich history in Downtown Wilmington. A upsized front porch with a porch swing offers a warm welcome so that you can start your stay off in full relaxation mode. The front porch features stained bead board and an original front door that was preserved and restored to its natural beauty.

Get comfortable in the cozy living room that is adorned by an upsized, bespoke mural as an ode to the unique character of the home. The living room offers guests a mcm couch and accent chairs to compliment the signature, rich style for plenty of seating under hand-selected designer lighting. You will notice plenty of conversation pieces as you make yourself at home. Sign into the 50in intelligent T.V. to appreciate some of your favorite streaming services or gather around the original fireplace and wind down while being surrounded by unique and original artwork.

Since the home is a bit of a shotgun-style, you will notice the original french doors that were meticulously stripped and painstakingly restored to welcome guests into the centrally located dining room. This room also features hand-picked signature lighting that canopies over a midcentury modern style table that offers seating for four guests at a time. You'll notice other mid-century design pieces in the dining room as well as some period pieces, reflective of the Greenfield Lake wildlife and the historic nature of the home.

The dining room is conveniently located just between the upsized kitchen and living room so that everybody is alway a part of the conversation. The kitchen, that also overlooks the backyard, offers huge dreamy dome lighting, a handsome counter-to-ceiling sloppy brick and mortar backsplash, brand new quartz countertops, a retro-style refrigerator and microwave, a bespoke range hood, and additional seating at the bespoke live-edge 8-ft butcher block island- accepting guests to comfortably enjoy their time together with plenty of space in the main living areas.

The bungalow offers guests a total of 3 bedrooms. Every bedroom offers clean and crisp bead-board ceilings, signature ceiling fans, and storage for bags and clothes during the stay. Bedroom one offers a sizable king canopy bed with a sealy memory foam bed, accompanied by two nightstands with mcm lamps, a mcm dresser, hand-selected art, a full-body mirror and a 40in intelligent tv with a closet for important hang-ups. Guests will also notice the original medicine cabinet that was preserved as well as the original pedestal sink. Guests can take advantage of plenty of cabinet space for linens, etc.

Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Wilmington. Book your rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Greenfield Lake Amphitheater Bungalow, 2 min walk to amphitheater, near downtown has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
