Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Brunswick area rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Reserve your rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to select the best rental:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Conched Out - Feel the ocean breezes as you relax on the deck overlooking the lovely Carolina Beach coastline by RedAwning has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If not, call the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
