This five bedroom uniquely designed home is located only 4 blocks from the Boardwalk and the ocean, conveniently accessible by a multi-use bicycle/pedestrian trail just across the street. There is a fenced-in patio on the side of the home, and a deck on the back with an outdoor shower.
Every bed has pillows and comforters. Towels and linens are not supplied for this property. Towels and linens can be rented from Oceanside Linen. Total sheet sets needed: 5 Queen bed sets (includes couch-bed) 1-Double futon bed, and 4-Twin/trundle beds.
The upstairs sleeps 10 comfortably and features 4 bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a queen with en-suite bath with an adjoining bedroom with a single bed and trundle; bedroom 2 has a double XL bed; bedroom 3 has a queen bed; and bedroom 4 has a twin bed with trundle. Also, the upstairs loft has a double futon. The downstairs sleeps 4, a master bedroom with a queen bed and an en-suite bath, as well as a queen pull-out couch in the living room.
Units are flexible, with 3-nighttime minimum stay. There is parking for 4 to 5 cars in the back of the property.
History-
Monty Sly constructed this home for his family in 1938. The family lived in the downstairs and rented out the upstairs rooms during WW II to young wives whose husbands were in the service. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, romantically rich in history and close the beach this is your place!
About the Area
Located in Carolina Beach, this vacation home is in the city center and near the beach. Federal Point History Center and Ocean Front Park are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Legion Stadium. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Carolina Beach Arcade are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking nearby.
