Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in the Brunswick area area. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick the rightrental home:
- Choose vacation week and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront with Pool - New Flooring - New Furniture has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a certain Brunswick area beach you crave, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
