We also have an Xbox installed in the theater room for all the gamers out there! Each bedroom has its own bathroom, with bedrooms 6 and 7 sharing a Jack and Jill bath as well as a intelligent tv (with cable) in each room. We have a cavernous chef’s kitchen equipped with a double oven, gas cooktop, and walk-in pantry to prepare all your family favorites while you stay here! We have an elevator that services all levels, so everybody can appreciate their stay here without worries of climbing stairs! Have your toes in the sand in a short 8-10 min. walk to the nearest beach access or a short golf cart ride to the Beaufort St access with the ramp!

Our home has a master suite on each floor. The first and third floor master suites have a 5x5 shower with double rainfall shower heads. This makes for a true spa-like experience! The first floor master suite also has a huge soaker tub, and the third floor master has a fireplace!

We are providing linens for your stay. All bed sheets, bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels, and pool towels will be supplied!

We have a 14x32 heated pool (additional charge to heat the pool) to relax in when you come off a hot day on the beach, with plenty of seating for everybody all around! Swing by the edge of the pool or relax in a lounge chair and watch the sunset at the end of the day. The lights will automatically come on above the pool each nighttime and will turn off on their own. Savor your time at the pool bar with a mini refrigerator, grilles and a intelligent tv to keep everybody entertained.

The home has exterior surveillance for security purposes on the front and rear of the home.

While staying at Salt and Light, you’ll have beautiful vistas of the ocean off all the back decks as well as vistas of the lagoon in your backyard. The lagoon is home to many turtles, birds and ducks that are always simple to spot and so much fun for kids to see! Our 3rd story tower master suite offers a unique, suspended deck that you can walk around the home to savor vistas of the ocean, intracoastal waterway, and the West End of OIB (with a glimpse of Sunset Beach in the distance)! Appreciate a gorgeous sunrise with a cup of coffee on the back deck before a day at the beach, and relax at the end of the day watching the sun set over the ocean. Staying at Salt and Light will not disappoint and you’ll make many memories to last a lifetime!

Tips and Tricks for getting the best Brunswick area vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Brunswick area restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Filter your rental search:

  • To start, have your group choose dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 9 Bedrooms, 8.5 Baths, Heated Pool, Theater Room, Elevator! Linens included! has 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area attraction you long to visit, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
