Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose and book a perfect Brunswick area vacation home:

  • To start, have your family select the best dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Beach House @Tiki Oceanfront MainHouse has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
