Tips for getting the best vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • To find the best value, change your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.

Choosing and booking the perfect Brunswick area rental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Canal Front Home in Holden Beach NC has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
