How to book the best rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectvacation home:

  • Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Colonel's Cottage is a charming and spacious Maritime Forest retreat! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or may be applied to your contract.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • During check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
