Strategies for getting the best vacation home experience:

When to visit Carolina Beach & When to book:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Brunswick area area. Book your Brunswick area rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking your prefect Brunswick area rental:

  • Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Dooley's Place
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
