How to find the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Summer months are high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting and booking the best Brunswick area rental home:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Home, Gorgeous Views, Plenty of Space for Large Families has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
