Tips to get the perfect Brunswick area vacation home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Planning and choosing your Brunswick area rental:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Original details in a 1950's fun ranch on the municipal golf course! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
