How to find the best Holden Beach vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To book the largest rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Brunswick area attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Pirate's Den - Breathtaking Ocean & Waterway Views! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is best for your family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
