How to find the best rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • To get the best value, try shifting your family's Brunswick area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Selecting the best rental in the Brunswick area area:

  • Start by having your group choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Sands About Right\n has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the host before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
