The Location:
Sweet Tooth is located on the East end of Ocean Isle Beach and we adore all the amenities the island has to offer. Delicious local eateries, coffee stores, kayaking, fishing, putt-putt, an extraordinary playground and so much more. Plus, there are numerous golf courses just a short 5-min. drive from the island. The closest beach access is an simple 2-3 min walk to the end of Charlotte Street, which offers an broad beach and is handicap accessible. But, one of our personal favorites is a hidden gem just down 4th street - savor tidal pools and a more quant walk on the beach at the E 4th St Beach Access.

The Home:
Take the elevator up to the top floor of this reverse-floor plan home and you'll find a bright and cavernous open-concept room. The kitchen, dining area, and living room spaces are enclosed by sizable windows on 3 sides of the home and doors to the back balcony that overlooks the pool and offers partial ocean vistas. The roomy white kitchen has a massive island with room for 5 to sit at the bar, 8 to sit at the table and 3 to sit at the couch table. There's even a 6-person outdoor table on the balcony for those who appreciate dining alfresco. The kitchen is well outfitted with appliances including a flex brew coffee maker (individual k-cup style or a pot of drip coffee), plenty of pots and pans of various sizes, baking pans & dishes, a toaster, a blender, a tea kettle, and an electric griddle. There are cards, games, books and a intelligent TV in the living room for everybody to enjoy after a day at the beach. Our family-friendly home even has a pack-and-play crib, booster seat & high chair to make packing for your little ones a bit easier!

Also located on the top floor are a half bath and two bedrooms. The Octopus Suite (front right) has a king-sized bed, intelligent TV, and a private en suite with a tub/shower combo. The Shark Suite (front left) has a king-sized bed, intelligent TV, and a private en suite with a tub/shower combo.
Moving down to the first floor, you'll find 3 bedrooms, a secondary living room/game room, and a washer and dryer. This secondary family area offers a pull-out couch, foosball table, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, and access to the back patio with a pool view and partial ocean vistas.
The Sea Turtle Suite (back right) is an extremely spacious primary bedroom offering tons of natural light through the enormous windows. This room has a king-sized bed, vistas of the pool, and partial ocean vistas. It has direct access to the back patio, a intelligent TV, and a private en suite bath with a huge double vanity and a generously-sized walk-in shower.

Strategies to get the perfect Brunswick area vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Book your Brunswick area rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Sweet Tooth at Ocean Isle Beach, Private Heated Pool, Putting Green, Ocean Views, Elevator has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
