Tips for getting the best Holden Beach vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Brunswick area area travel guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect rental in Holden Beach:
- Select your vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Walk to beach, wraparound porch, new boat dock, water on two sides, Cargo Lift has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If not, contact the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If there's a particular Brunswick area attraction you long to visit, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
