Watercolor is a traditional, comfortable beachfront home waiting to greet you with the sun’s pastel morning colors and bid you goodnight with vivid sunsets and a star-filled sky. The home features Brazilian wood floors, beautiful shiplap and an abundance of natural light.

The first floor opens to a bright vaulted living space anchored by a bespoke fireplace and sided by a wall of beach-facing sliding doors. It flows into the handsome dining area that conveniently accommodates ten and provides a wet bar. The close by multi-chef kitchen features a sizeable island with plenty of prep room and breakfast bar seating as well as high-end stainless appliances, well-supplied kitchen necessities, bespoke cabinetry, and granite counters. Appreciate making and savoring meals here or step out onto the covered porch where you’ll find not only a hot tub and rocking and calming chairs, but also a deck with a teak dining set and grille. From here, a private boardwalk leads onto the beach and into the ocean.

Back inside, a enormous, first floor, constructed-in library offers many books and movies. (Games and puzzles for all ages can be found on the upper level.) A Queen bedroom offers a walk-in closet and has a tiled bath, with a huge walk-in shower, just outside its door. Across the hall, a Queen Suite, with a California closet and full bath (with a soaking tub) grants private access to the home’s back porch.

Upstairs, a loft with skylights is furnished with two additional-long Twin beds, each with a trundle. While these Twins are ample for an adult, this area’s conversation/ TV space makes it an ideal spot for kids. Beyond, the Owner’s Suite dazzles with expansive vistas from inside or out on its private porch. This Primary Suite features a King bed, a sizable walk-in closet, granite vanities and a sea glass tile bench shower with rain shower head and wand.

Please see the amenities list catering to all members of your family. TV's are located in each bedroom and the family room.

Whether appreciating swimming, building sandcastles, dolphin sighting or stargazing, you’re sure to create vivid lifetime memories at Watercolor.

Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Brunswick area rental home experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Brunswick area restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect rental home in Bald Head Island:

  • To start, have your family agree to the best dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Watercolor is an Oceanfront 4BR\/3BA Bald Head Island retreat with a hot tub! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • During check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
