As you enter the front door, you are greeted by a vast screened-in porch furnished with a sizable table and plenty of seating- great for meals or to savor your morning coffee/afternoon drink. Continue to the inside of the home and you will find an open concept boasting a comfortable upsized couch and loveseat with a charmingly appointed, refreshed kitchen outfitted with all new appliances and countertops. The home has two sets of Twin bunk beds in one room, a Queen in another, and a King bedroom with an attached Master Bathroom. After a day at the beach come back, clean off in the hot/cold outdoor shower, and relax. The back of the home has a freshly created screened-in game room area complete with a ping pong table, darts, an outdoor refrigerator, microwave, and bar seating for 4. The backyard offers privacy and there is plenty of space to play a game of Cornhole, Bocce, croquet, or just toss the ball around. Additionally, the back of the home offers a great deck with table and chairs. We know you want to relax without any stops at the store when you get to the island. To get you started we provide a welcome kit that includes trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pod, washing machine pod, dishwashing soap, hand soap at every sink, bath soap, and shampoo/conditioner.

As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7 nighttime minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
• The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
• Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
• Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
