Summary:
Welcome to our Sea Breeze Bungalow - your ideal beach getaway on Oak Island! Our striking 3-bedroom unit is charmingly located just a short walk away from the pristine shores, offering you the ultimate coastal hideaway. One of the standout features of our unit is its proximity to the island's breathtaking walkover bridging the intercostal waterway. Our location is just mins. away from all of Oak Island's stores, dining, and attractions. Visit all Oak Island has to offer, or just sit back and relax!

The Space:
This is a comfortable duplex with two queen beds and a twin over full bunk that has a twin trundle bed underneath - ideal for families, friend groups, or even a couple's hideaway. All rooms are equipped with a intelligent TV for your enjoyment. In the main living area, you will find cozy seating, a 55" intelligent TV, and a high-top dining table. The kitchen is outfitted with all the cooking supplies you may need including a toaster, a full-size oven, a dishwasher, and a Keurig coffee maker. In the bathroom, you have a washer and dryer at your disposal as well as towels, basic toiletries, and an iron, steamer, and ironing board. Outside you may appreciate our outdoor dining set and outdoor shower to rinse off after a long day at the beach.

Guest Access:
You will have full access to your side of the duplex with your own private patio, outdoor shower, and assigned parking spaces.

The Neighborhood:
Located on the southern end of North Carolina’s photogenic coastline, the Town of Oak Island encompasses nearly 20 square miles; offering 10 miles of beachfront, along the 12-mile-long island from which the Town derives its name. The island itself is marked by the Atlantic Ocean to the south, and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to the north. With roughly 8,400 residents year-round, the Town features a summertime population that swells to nearly 50,000 visitors and seasonal residents alike. However, the Town works hard at successfully maintaining a balance of its bustling, vibrant tourism, with the traditional, peaceful appeal of a modest southern town.

As one of North Carolina’s only barrier islands that face directly south, beachgoers can savor grand vistas of both sunrise and sunset over the ocean, all from the same stretch of sand.

In addition, Oak Island provides amenities far beyond the beach itself; such as boating, fishing, kayaking, golf, fine and casual dining, established retail and modest local shopping, boutique hotels, two fishing piers, and a robust Town recreation program … all watched over faithfully by the 63-year-old Oak Island Lighthouse. Consistently ranked as one of the best beach towns in North Carolina, as well as throughout the southeastern United States, the Town of Oak Island uniquely offers the simple luxuries of a tourists’ escape, with the nostalgic comfort of hometown familiarity.

Interaction with Guests:
We live just a short drive away so don't hesitate to reach out, should you need anything!

Oak Island vacation rental booking tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. To get the best value, shift your family's Brunswick area vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain deals for local shops and restaurants.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Coastal 3BD Bungalow One Block from Scenic Walkway has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
