Getting the best Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to choose and book the rightvacation home:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Coastal Comfort at The Waterway: Studio with Pool & Dining Nearby! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

More considerations:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
