Our top Rental home tips:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Greenfield Lake Getaway has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your family.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area beach you long to visit, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your agreement.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
