Tips to get the best Brunswick area vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Choosing and booking your prefectrental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. \"Lifesaver\" is a 2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Oceanfront Home! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area destination you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
