Tricks and tips for getting the perfect vacation property experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Book your Brunswick area rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. A Whelk on the Beach-Lower by RedAwning has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area beach you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
