How to get the best Holden Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer is high season in the Brunswick area area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking the right Brunswick area rental:

  • Select dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Oceanfront duplex with beach access, two primary suites, & chef's kitchen has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If not, email or call the host before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
