Tricks and tips for getting the perfect vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • To get the best value, try shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Sea Renity Now- Bullard Realty has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Know before you go:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
