PEST CONTROL
Please note we routinely spray the property for bugs and insects. To help prevent bugs from entering the home, please keep the doors closed. If you happen to come across any (they can be pesky!), we will do what we can to take care of the situation as soon as possible!

How to get the best value:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
