Keeping a waterfront eye on the comings and goings of the ferry, “Starboard”-one of Bald Head's iconic, award-winning, bespoke-designed towers in the esteemed Harbour area-grants sweeping Atlantic and Cape Fear River vistas, impressive vistas of Old Baldy and BHI's marina as well as three bedrooms and three baths. When entering the entryway of the main home of this recent remodel, you'll immediately savor its pristine hardwoods and chic shiplap. The first floor is occupied by a King suite whose back wall of glass doors frames million-dollar ocean aspects. Step out onto the deep, covered beachfront deck and savor sunsets from here or traverse down to your private patio with its own boardwalk to the beach access. The striking, newly refreshed full bath provides both bedroom and hall entrances. A laundry completes this floor. Take the handsome staircase to the airy, surprisingly roomy second level's open floor plan which is surrounded on three sides by windows spotlighting broad, mesmerizing waterscapes that feel close enough that you could dip your fingers into the salty water. The cheery living area features comfortable seating highlighted by the gorgeous perspectives. Linger here or relax outside on the covered porch-the ideal spot for morning coffee or toasting the sinking sun. This floor also features a sleek bayed dining space hugged by windows and a modern kitchen with luxe Café appliances. The floating stairs to the third floor are sided by windows looking at Bald Head Marina's excellent yachts. At the top, the vaulted, window-ensconced King Master sanctuary furnishes 200+ degree birds' eye scenes showcasing Old Baldy, Bald Head's marsh/estuary and the marina, as well as ocean/river panoramas. Its Euro-flavored ensuite finishes the main home in style. The home's third bedroom and bath are located close by in a detached crofter, accepting additional privacy for those who seek it. This cozy suite features a Queen as well as a pantry with its own mini-refrigerator and microwave, tons of storage and its own full bath. The use of two four-passenger golf carts is included as well as WWP's 24/7 Property Manager Assistance Line-which means you can reach needed help even after hours or on weekends. Bald Head Island rental home booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to your spending budget:

  • Summer time is high season in Bald Head Island. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • First, have your family agree to trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Starboard is one of the Bald Head's iconic towers in the Island's prestigious Harbour Village. has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area beach you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.

Know before you go:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
