Strategies to get the very best rental home experience:

When to reserve a Brunswick area rental home & When to go:

  • Book your rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and picking the bestrental:

  • Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Waterfront condo. Walk to restaurants, and a short drive to beach, and Southport has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area destination you love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
