How to find the best Sunset Beach rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Sunset Beach rental home:

  • To find the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the best vacation rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 320 Down the Shore by Sunset Vacations has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area destination you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
