DISCLAIMERS ABOUT THE BEACH ISLAND BUM:
We are a 1,300 sq/ft cape-cod with tons of appeal, I am sure from time-to-time will have some minor imperfections. We are not a luxury stay nor do we intend to be, our goal is to be a comfortable, simple and cozy so you have a fun and relaxing vacation!
Our cleaner does an handsome job of cleaning but given we are dog friendly as our property is, and the fact that we are humans there is a possibility of a human error, if there is an issue during your stay let us know and they will come back to address it!
We do not have any control over things that happen outside our property lines or the weather. We highly recommend that all guests obtain trip insurance
The host will be available through phone, text and e-mail. In case of an emergency a local team member can assist in person.

- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
