In the peaceful wooded section of Oak Island, amongst the natural landscaping, you discover the Blue Heron sculptures which are the namesake of the Blue Heron Landing. Located about a ½ mile to the beach (10 min. walk), you can choose to use the supplied bicycles, drive, or locally rent a golf cart. If you peek in the shed in the backyard, you will discover 2 adult bicycles & a kid’s bicycle with training wheels. Additional bicycles can also be rented on the island. As you head to the beach, grab the beach chairs, body board, kid’s fishing pole, kid’s ball & bat & sand toys. There is also a Halo scooter to discover the area. When you walk up the front steps, you discover a welcoming screened-in porch. Plenty of comfortable seating & a dining table for alfresco dining.
