Tricks and tips to get the perfect Brunswick area vacation property experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Reserve your Brunswick area rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area travel guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Semi Oceanfront, Steps to Beach, Cozy Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your trip.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
