Brunswick area rental property booking tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Brunswick area area. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Four bedroom home with golf course view and walking distance to the lighthouse has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your trip.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
